The presentation will provide an overview of Python GUI options. It will review the choice of Kivy for 2 projects. Seth and Elliot will then provide an overview of Kivy and the key architectural concepts behind Kivy. Demonstrations will highlight key concepts, and showcase the results of 2 projects. They will also share resources that were useful in coming up the learning curve.
Elliot Garbus - Elliot is a currently an adviser & consultant to high-tech companies. He recently retired from Intel, after almost 30 years. In his previous role, Elliot was the VP & GM of Intel’s Transportation Solutions Division, responsible for Intel’s activity in automotive, including work in fully autonomous vehicles. He holds 15 patents related to microprocessor and system design.
Seth Abraham - Seth Abraham is currently a Faculty Associate in the School of Electrical Computer and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, teaching classes in digital design. Seth recently retired from Intel after nearly 19 years. In his previous role, Seth was a Principal Engineer in Intel's Software and Solutions Group, working closely with hardware and software teams within the company. He holds about a dozen patents and has authored about 30 scholarly articles.
